    NUMBER OF CHILDREN SUPPORTED?

    Tumaini has provided support, either in residence or an outreach capacity, to more than 1,800 orphaned, vulnerable or needy children and adults annually by providing critically needed, but unavailable aid.

    At Tumaini, Community Outreach includes . . .

    The adoption of a local secondary school, Nshupu. Tumaini has built a library, a girls' hostel, renovated 5 classrooms, the student toilets, drilled a well to provide water which has resulted in almost every single female student passing her final year-end exams, AND, the school earning their first Division 1 (highest performance possible) results ever!

    TUMAINI SUPPORTS THE SALARIES OF LOCAL TEACHERS . . .

    which has brought the only qualified math teacher to an entire school, with data driven results on their National Exams and brought the highest results in the history of the school!
