  Tumaini has provided support, either in residence or an outreach capacity, to more than 1,800 orphaned, vulnerable or needy children and adults annually by providing critically needed, but unavailable aid.

  At Tumaini, Community Outreach includes . . .

  The adoption of a local secondary school, Nshupu. Tumaini has built a library, a girls' hostel, renovated 5 classrooms, the student toilets, drilled a well to provide water which has resulted in every single female student passing her final year-end exams, AND, the school earning their first two Division 1 (highest performance possible) results ever!

  TUMAINI SUPPORTS THE SALARIES OF FIVE TEACHERS . . .

  Which has brought the only qualified math teacher to an entire school; within two years of implementation, ensured that not one girl failed Form IV; and recently brought the first two Division I (the highest level of achievement in secondary school), results in the history of the school!
